Advertising on The Far Turn:

There are two types of ads on the Far Turn; Classified and Commercial

  COMMERCIAL:

Commercial, Banner, and Text Link Ads are NOT FREE:

Any banners or text link ads you see among the pages of the Far Turn are paid for by the associated vendors. These vendors have guarantees and other agreements which protect you from bad merchandise and services. Winsumgelt Enterprises will only permit well- received products to be advertised here. The good thing about that is you can be pretty sure that what you see is really truly good stuff. The bad part is that there won't be a whole lot of it, and also that just because you have something to sell doesn't mean I will permit you to advertise it here.   CLASSIFIED:

Classified Advertising is Free for Individuals:

   There is a classified section for horsemen who need to unload stuff they don't need for money or other goods that they do need. IT IS NOT FOR COMMERCIAL OUTLETS TO GET FREE ADVERTISING. We don't give out email addresses nor use them ourselves. Nobody has access to this information except myself, anyway, and the buck stops here on everything. From the Home page, go to the link marked "classifieds" choose your category, and post your goods for sale.

   All ads must be for used goods or new never used single items. If you get caught using the forum as a retail outlet, you will be "ruled off" ousted indefinitley, from participating. The purpose of this utility is so that racetrackers who want to sell their goods for cash or barter their goods for goods, have the entire US for a marketplace. Racetrackers rarely have benefits and often work very hard for very little compensation. This forum is mainly for them and doesn't need to be clogged with commercial enterprise. If you don't know where you fall, contact me at classifieds@thefarturn.net. Racing memorabilia, jockey supplies, and other stuff are included here: "sell your bobblehead", but dont expect to "sell bobbleheads" here.

Classified Advertising may not be free forever, so get while the gettin' is good:

   As soon as Winsumgelt Enterprises has to employ a Moderator, a maintenence person, a trouble shooter, or a lawyer, the classified section, indeed the entire site, will have to generate financial compensation for that individual. That will come from paid advertising and selling products. We all need to make a living, including me. If I wind up working at this site as if it were a second job, it is going to pay me.
